Hi and thank you for stopping by....

Pull up a chair, have a seat and let’s chat! I'm Dr. Camille and I feel absolutely blessed to be working in the field of Oncology (study of cancer) and even more so, to have the opportunity to serve you. Having worked with patients diagnosed with cancer for 10+ years, I have learned a thing, or 2, regarding needs of patients and caregivers during the cancer process.

  1. Patients want to maintain control by understanding the basics of cancer, the recommended treatments, associated side effects, and how it all will change their daily life – BUT in common everyday language – NOT encrypted, hard to understand “Doctor talk”
  2. Patients desire a “Family Friendly Doc" they can reach out to, a doctor in their corner, who can offer advice on how they can advocate, ask the right questions, in order to make the best treatment decision possible
  3. Patients need encouragement, support, and HOPE! Learning to celebrate every small step is very important...

There are many, many cancer websites and some of them are great too! But do you truly understand what you are reading? Do you understand the differences about the treatment options presented to you? While in the Oncology Office and during initial consultation with  your team, things can quickly become a blur and overwhelming. Patients keep coming back and refer others here, because of the trusted experience and personable advocacy service they receive - away from the confines of a hospital/clinic setting and in the privacy of your home. Whatever the venue, I look forward to communicating with you. Remember, it’s Your Body, Your Health, Your Life. Peace and Blessings to you on your journey! Irie mon

Author unknown but attributed to “The Star Thrower” by Loren Eiseley 1907-1977

It is written, there was an elderly gentleman whose routine it was to walk along the ocean each morning before he began his work.

One morning he was walking along the shore and in the distance he noticed a figure moving like a dancer. He smile to himself, thinking of someone who would dance to great the day.

He began to walk faster to greet this person, but as he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and that he was not dancing. Instead, he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer, he  smiled and called out, “Good morning! What are you doing?”  The young man paused, looked up and replied, “Throwing starfish in the ocean.” The man looking puzzled said, “I guess I should ask, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?”   “Because” the young man replied, “The sun is coming up and the tide is going out. If do not throw them back in the ocean they will die on the shore.”

The old man shook his head. “Young man, don’t you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and thousands, maybe even millions of starfish along it. You can’t possibly make a difference!” The young listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean, past the breaking waves and said - “It made a difference for that ONE!”

So it is with Dr. Camille. Her success is based on making a difference...one person at a time..  May Jehovah Shalom be with you.
